Cables and Adapters

Coaxial cables play a critical role in high resolution display systems. Great attention is devoted to all of the other components in a video / data display system, but coax cables have often been the weak link, especially when ultra high-resolution signals are sent down lengthy cable runs. While the bandwidth performance of interfaces, distribution amplifiers and display devices has consistently improved to accommodate increasing video signal resolutions and scan rates, the performance of coax cables has lagged behind.... until recently. New cable formulations are now available that provide the performance needed for long cable runs with high resolution video signals.

Inline coaxial cables are available in three performance grades to match the bandwidth requirements of various system applications:

  • Standard Resolution
  • Super High Resolution
  • Ultra High Resolution

Flexible Design - Several Inline coaxial cables now feature a special construction that offers exceptional flexibility. These cables are ideal for interface input cables, for rental and staging systems and for any other application requiring a cable that is flexible and easy to handle.

Specialized Cables - Several cables are available that are made to work with a specific type of signal (video, s-video, stereo audio, VGA, TMDS digital video, etc.) or a specific connector type (4-Pin mini DIN, 13W3, 15-Pin HD, DFP, DVI).

Plenum Rating - With a UL rating of CL2P, these cables are rated for installation in plenums with using conduit.

Multi-Conductor Cables - These cables feature several coaxial, twisted pair and single element conductors all bundled into one jacket.
